The Do’s and Dont’s of dance floors
Do’s
Do use a reputable supplier like The Bride’s Table.
Do ask what material is going to be used for your Dancefloor.
Do ask whether the base will be provided by the supplier or the venue and if it’s by the venue what steps are to be taken to protect the venue’s floor from damage.
Do ask whether the material used will be brand new or used (ours is always brand new).
Do ask for recent close up photos of your supplier’s floor, preferably taken in your booked venue in order to verify that the supplier has no issues with your venue.
Dont’s
Don’t book the first supplier you call without asking the above questions.
Don’t go for the cheapest - cheap often equals poor workmanship, sub quality materials and lack of experience. New to industry suppliers often charge very cheaply… because they need the photos/experience. The more desperate they are, the cheaper they’ll be. Don’t let them practice on your wedding!
Don’t immediately book a floor through your venue thinking it’s cheaper… it’s not. Venues either mark up the cost so you are actually paying more than if you went direct to an external supplier or they get it so cheap that the quality of the job is questionable… remember, it costs money to do a good job… good materials and good workmanship are not cheap.
